New Workshops Offered!

We are proud to present two new ART Workshops at Wasatch Arts Center.  These courses are taught by Kris Doman,  Master Photographer.  If you are interested in these courses please contact us at 801-253-6323.  (Each class needs at least 5 students.  Everyone is invited to participate, students do not need to be enrolled in Wasatch Arts Center to attend.  Invite your friends!)

Thursdays 4:30 - 5:30 pm
"Movin On Up to Manual Mode" (for anyone 14+ years old)
Become the brains behind your camera! Learn the basics of photographic exposure including ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and how they relate to each other. Understand the structure of the camera, and each setting mode. Work with different lighting situations including indoors, bright sunlight, using flash, and reflected light. Cost: $60

March 6 - April 10th (six week course)
Thursdays 4:15 - 5:30 pm
"I am an Artist!" (For children 7-12 years old)
Pablo Picasso said, "every child is an artist." This course will focus on the fundamentals of art including line, color, shape, texture, space and form, taught in through reference to working or historical artists. Emphasis will be made that drawing is not the only way to express oneself artistically, and introduction to new media will allow children to discover their unique strengths through experimentation.
